I know Easter was yesterday, but I wanted to share these little Easter cards that I made for my hubby and twinsies.

I just love the " Double Duty" card stock pack from The PaperTemptress. The colors are perfect for Spring! 

 

I used lilac, tourqoise and salmon for these cards.

The base of the card is Neenah Classic Crest Smooth in solar white.  I prefer a heavy card base and this card stock is heavier weight. Very nice for card bases and coloring with Copic markers.

I want to take this time to wish you all a very happy Easter! Mine has been great so far. Aren't Easter egg hunts and baskets full of goodies fun!?

Church was wonderful today. Easter lillies in all the windows of the sancturary and sunlight streaming in... what a special time to reflect on what's important in life and to strive to follow our Savior's plan for us.  ;D

True Love

When you ask what love is... you will hear a myriad of definitions. We love in so many different ways.

 We celebrate Easter because Jesus loved us so dearly, he gave his life for us... the ultimate sacrifice. Giving your life may not sound very joyful... but ultimately that sacrifice resulted the forgiveness of our sins and in the joyful resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ!  

I want to take this time to wish you a very joyful Easter and share a poem that I recently read to my children. 

His Love 

God sent His Son to take the punishment
For all the thoughtless, sinful things we do;
Jesus gave his life because He loves us;
His love is boundless, sweet, forever true. 

On Easter morn He showed He is our Savior;
His resurrection proves He is our Lord.
That is why we tell you, "Happy Easter!"
He secured our heavenly reward!
