Yes...I am challenged by food lately...I just want to eat it...anything that doesn't eat me first!
But that's not what this post is about! LOL I'm talking about the challenge issued by Linda (The Funkie Junkie) over at Isabella's Sketchbook Challenge site.
All you have to do to participate is use a food image from Isabella's Sketchbook Store. No sketch to follow or other requirements for this week's challenge. You have until 7:00 p.m. CST next Tuesday to enter the challenge. Once you have finished your project, just link your post HERE using Mr. Linky. Please also provide a link to this challenge in your blog post.
I fell in love with the
July 4th cupcakes image. I needed some birthday cards so this worked perfectly for me.
Here is my challenge card...
I printed the image twice on 100lb Strathmore smooth bristol card. I colored with copics and used Stampendous fuzzy fun flock on the cupcake icing, stars and sprinkles. I wish the flock showed better in the photo...it's so cute in real life! Then I paper pieced and built the card up from there!
Fun image, Right?! I think I will go play with it some more!
But first I'll share a couple more projects using Isabella's images.
Here is one of the sweetest ballerina images I've come across...sweet yet slightly mischevious...just like me. (hee-hee)
I used the image as is on the left side of the card... the ballerina on the right is the same image just flipped horizontally using photoshop elements. That my friends is just one advantage that digi images have over rubber...you are allowed to manipulate them digitally to fit your project better! I colored with copics and used my Sakura gel pen for sparkle.
Here is the inside...

The sentiment is one I've liked for a long while...I just typed it and printed.
With an eight year old daughter, I know I will use this
Elizabeth Ballerinadigi stamp time and time again. There are 5 more ballerina digi stamps by
Isabella on my wish list as well!!
Ok...I told you I have had a fun week playing with Isabella's images!
So here is one more little grouping of goodies...
I used Isabella's
Lily image to make a card, junior note pad cover, skinny note pad cover and a sweet little post-it note cover. These images were printed on Canson acrylic 110lb paper. I love the texture and shine that it gives my digi hybrid projects.
These images were colored using photoshop elements...yep, I cheated...just another example of something you can't do with rubber stamps! ;D
Below are some individual images...
skinny notepad and cover...
and one more...post-it note cover.
All card stock is Gina K pure luxury and the "notes" oval is from a fab rubber stamp set by Gina K Designs. The dp is by DCWV.
Thanks for looking at the longest post of all time...Just joking! See you soon!
