It's all about the paper!

Sometimes when I finish a card especially a very CAS one like below I'm so pleased to have used just the right paper and card stock to give it the right look or "attitude".

The PaperTemptress store has a multitude of paper with attitude! From leather to satin... I've found paper to suit any card or project I have planned. Did you know you can buy just a few sheets if you don't need a whole pack? 

 

This card base is made from a sheet of Glimmer card stock. The PaperTemptress describes it best: 

Inspired by the petals and the metals of North America, this sumptuous, glimmering paper will bring out the creative muse in you. Available in both a 98# cover weight and a 80# text weight.

I've  printed my digi image on  Pure White Gloss. It's a text weight paper like the kind used for glossy magazines. I think it makes this image stand out beautifully!

Just felt like making a quick CAS card today. I really like this sentiment and this lovely stamp from the Victorian Elements set at Red Rubber Designs.

I really do feel blessed to have so many paper craft "friends". It's so neat how you can become friends with so many people all around the world by sharing a love of stamping, paper, scissors and glue!

 

 

Just Because Challenge JB0912

Blossom

I always like to have small hand made gifts standing by.

It's just nice to be rewarded with a friends beautiful smile when you hand them a little handmade gift for no particular reason.

The name of the stamp set is Blossom. This lovely victorian lady became known as Miss Blossom to me as I created this little gift set.

Of course, Miss Blossom and I drank peach tea and chatted in our best southern accents. (Not a hard thing since I live in the south and have a genuine southern accent!)

Click on the picture... her dress seems to be in bloom. Beautiful stamp! 

 

 

This stamp is from the Red Rubber Designs store, as are many of the other supplies used here. I used another of my crocheted flowers and assorted shades of pink card stock for this project. Lovely how this shade of Pallette ink matches the card stock. (irl anyway!  ;D )

Created Beauty

Are these chairs to die for or what?

Too bad they're the wrong color. I actually need them in a mint green for my living room.  lol

Seriously, this card is made from a beautiful stamp set called Created Beauty.

 

I love the pack of crocheted flowers from the Red Rubber Designs store because it includes assorted sizes. This tiny one was perfect for adorning my bow. And how lovely is the color of this bow? Ahhhh.... pink just makes me happy!

Red Rubber Designs "First Thursday Blog Hop" and Contest

Welcome! Red Rubber Designs new release for September is full of vintage goodness. 

We also have a contest... so I hope you'll hop and play with us. ;D

First I'll share my card. I am so in love with this stamp set....

It's called Sew Thankful and has the prettiest images. This sewing machine is to die for... Beautifully detailed! My card stock and ink pads are from the RRD store and they also have a selection of beautiful ribbon and hardware as well.

Now on to the contest!

The contest this month will be to guess the number of spools of thread that are in a quart canning jar. 

One winner will be chosen from the correct answers. If there is no correct guess, the person who comes the closest will receive the spotlight stamp set Sew Thankful. In case of a tie, a random draw will take place between those tied.
