This card features Priscillastyles Art Deco Chandelier image. You can find this lovely Chandelier and many other wonderful digi stamps in Pricillastyles store.

Here is my take on the sketch: 

 I used 2 adorable images by Priscillastyles. The Heart Wreath digi stamp and the birdies from the Love Birds digital stamp. All of my papers are from a DCWV matte stack.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 111

It's that time again... another fun sketch by Priscilla.

 This weeks sketch...it's "YOUR PICK" Make it fancy, clean and simple, or somewhere in-between. 

I usually make something somewhere in between.

These fancy birdies are actually from a Christmas digital image by Priscillastyles called "Christmas Ornaments" . I isolated the birdies from the other ornaments in the digi and then made them larger. That my friends is what makes digital images so versatile. (It' s also fun to challenge yourself to use an image in a way that's a little out of the box!)  ;D

I colored with Copics and glittered the wings with a Sakura gel pen. A bit of lace, ribbon and a pretty wooden button and it's done.

This lovely dragonfly is a digi stamp by Priscillastyles. It's so much fun to color!

 
The dimensional flowers were made with 2 sizes of EK Success punches that I've had forever. This DCWV patterned paper made for some very sparkly flowers!

I love sparkly... how about you?  ;D

 

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge103

So sorry, this post is a bit late. I thought I set it to post for this morning but I can be a bit Typepad challenged sometimes. My fault, not theirs! 

The Midnight Madness sketch this week was right up my alley. Nice clean lines. I used Priscilla's Sweet Pea Flowers digital image this week. Such a pretty digi image! So much fun to color. 

 

 

Here are this weeks sketches:

 

The Mother's Day sentiment is from one of my beloved Layers of Color stamp sets called Happy Wishes. This gorgeous Spellbinders tag is from the Fancy Tags set S4-235. I recently loaded up my Grand Caliber with all sorts of scraps and Spellbinders tag sets and now I can just go to my pre-cut tags and choose one when I need it... so convenient!

P.S. Our trip to Atlanta was quick but fun! Our hotel was GORGEOUS! The kids had so much fun swimming in the pools. They were in the water every chance they got. Fun stuff!

 
 

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter! My family had a lovely day. The kids are on Spring Break this week so we have lots of fun things planned. It will be one of those go-go-go weeks! ;D

I want to encourage you to play in the Midnight Madness Sketch challenge this week. What I enjoy about this challenge is that you find every style of papercrafter represented. From shappy chic to clean and simple...it's all there! It really inspires me to step "out of my box" and try a new style.

Here is my card for this week:

I used one of my very first digi images by Priscillastyles...butterflies. They need very little shading when you are coloring them as Priscilla added the shading when she drew them.

More Wedding Bells

I made and shared with you a wedding card using this gorgeous set of bells a couple of weeks ago... and I had to make another! I LOVE coloring these bells.

So I decided to try them out in pink. Aren't they beautiful? You can find this digital image at Priscillastyle's Store.

My sentiment is a stamp from the Sent with Love set by Layers of Color. So many great sentiments in this set! All patterned paper is DCWV. I colored the image with my Copics and used a Sakura clear gel pen to add some shine and dimension to the bells. Twine by The Twinery.

Midnight Madness

Boy oh boy...whew...long week-end! Sick children, sick me and now sick hubby. I haven't played with my paper and glue for 4 whole days. Talking about withdrawl! I'm ready for everyone to get well and back to school and work and let me have a little breather! ;D  Do you ever feel that way? Gosh knows, I really do love them. LOL 

The good news is that I finished my card for the Midnight Madness sketch challenge  before we all got the "bug". This sketch scared me to death...YES scared me! It is very cool but has some very unusual shapes ... the perfect sketch for a good challenge.  ;D

I altered, resized and printed my digi stamp, colored it with Copics and highlighted areas with Sakura glaze pen. I cut the image out with my oval nestie using my fab Spellbinders Grand Caliber. The rest is pretty straight forward.  But if you have any questions...let me know. I actually fell in love with this digi stamp last Christmas. (Here is my Christmas card)I've been thinking lately that it would be a shame to only use it during the holidays, it's such a lovely set of bells.

So I decided to try them out as wedding bells... and I really like them used this way! You can find them at Priscillastyle's Boutique. Aren't they beautiful?

Love Birds

Hee-hee.... I love this little digi image. It's called Love Birds and it's by Priscillastyles. Aren't they adorable?

I colored the image with my Copics and used a Sakura clear gel pen to add some shine and dimension to the little hearts. I added the digi image to a heart cut from my Spellbinders nestibilities. (I can cut a whole 8.5 x 11 page full of hearts or any other nestie shape in my wonderful Grand Caliber!) Add a button and bow and ta-da!  ;D
