The top border is paper pieced in the style of strip quilting I enjoy. This pattern is a Seminole Quilting pattern. Fun and easy.... I'll be doing a tutorial on this soon. ;D

More Brights

Wow! I guess I keep pulling out these bright colors because I'm ready for the grass to green up and the flowers to bloom... come on Spring!   ;D

 

These fun, fun stamped flowers are from The Crafts Meow. And the sentiment is so beautiful... gotta love the fonts that stamp set illustrators are using lately! This set is by NinaB and it's called Simply Delightful.

Well now I get to go try and make a dent in the laundry and that won't be delightful!

Notes and Ideas

Popping in with a bit of...well, alot of color! ;D  I adore making these note folios. The larger one is a jr size notepad, the skinny one is made from a jr. cut in half and the smallest is a post-it note holder.

This wild paper is from K and Company's Berry Sweet line. My little flowers are just some I punched and layered. I think all of us have these little flower punches in our tool arsenal!  lol

These pretty labels and notebook titles are from The Crafts Meow. Still playing with some of my newer stamp sets.  ;D  This is the Lovely Labels set by NinaB.

After stamping my labels using red ink on white cardstock...they needed something more, so after I was sure the stamping ink was dry I used a bright pink copic marker to color them in. Okay... so they went from bright to blinding! LOL  But they make me happy.  ;D 

I've had different office stores cut my jr. size notepads in half...but Staples does it most economically and more accurately. Maybe their cutting machine is better.  ;D

I know Valentine's Day was yesterday... but I just have one last Valentine I wanted to share.  ;D

Very simple card recipe here... Happy Owlentine's Day stamp set from The Crafts Meow, papers from K and Co. ,Copic markers, memento black ink for stamping the image, twine from The Twinery and my trusty Spellbinders dies. 

This is perfect for saying I love you any time of the year and brightening someone's day.  ;D

Happy Owlentine's Day

Owls... stinkin' cute owls! I found these fellas at The Crafts Meow. They are so much much fun to play with. These guys are from the Happy Owlentine's Day stamp set and are illustrated By Jenny Suchin.

I found these sweet Valentine papers by K&Co at Michaels. I especially like the turquoise with the pink hearts.  ;D

I have to say... I'm very pleased with the nice precise images I'm getting with The Crafts Meow stamps. Especially the sentiments. These papers are from K& Co too. All my shapes are cut with Spellbinder's dies. All inks are from Tsukineko.  

 

Happiness is...

Happiness is ... getting a little free time to make a card with the new The Crafts Meow stamps I received in the mail yesterday!  

Actually there are tons of things that make me happy but that list is too long to share here.  ;D  Playing in in the CR84FN Color Challenge with a new stamp set is certainly fun!

 

 

Oh my gosh... these tiny birdies from the Lovely Birds stamp set illustrated by NinaB for The Crafts Meow really make me happy! Check them out:

Dies are by Spellbinders. Birdies are stamped with Tsukineko Memento Black then colored with Copics. I've had this wide ribbon in my stash for forever and thought it was too wide for a card. I played with it anyway and I do like the results! And by the way ...Tsukineko is releasing 12 new colors in the Memento stamp ink line. Yay!

I'm off to browse around the web for CHA news and pictures! Let me know if anyone has posted any great pics of the event!  ;D

 

 

Make a Wish

How many times in your life have you pulled a dandelion, puffed on it and stood grinning as the beautiful cloud floated up and away? We all did that as kids. And don't you just have to reach down, pull a dandelion and send those little white fuzzies in all directions even now ?   ;D  

This stamp set is called Butterfly Kisses and I think it's delightful. You can find Butterfly Kisses at The Crafts Meow. It was illustrated by NinaB.  

 

Well, It's almost here...CHA!! I suppose we will have a lot of fun checking out the announcements and new products in the next few days! I'm really looking forward to seeing all the delicious new eye candy that will be arriving in our favorite stores!

Wish I could be there in person... hey! maybe I should go pull some dandelions...

Not Forgotten

I probably don't need to introduce you to Little Frieda. She spent quite alot of time with most of you that love The Craft's Meow stamps.

I haven't seen her as much lately.You know what they say "she had her 15 minutes of fame!" Poor dear... she's being phased out. But the good news is you can get her on sale!

 She's so very cute, I think I'll still enjoy pulling her out of my stash for a long time!  ;D

 

Meoooow

No, not the cat's meow...the craft's meow! 

I purchase these stamps a few weeks ago when they were first released. I finally got chance to ink one up. I used the tiny little butterfly from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set. (With a name like that who could resist?) ;D

You can find this pretty little set and many more at the craft's meow. This is a fairly new company... but the illustrators, design team, card and kit designers are all very talented girls that you will most likely recognize.

 

The cardstock is a heavy 120# card I got from The PaperTemptress. It's the Heavenly white  premium ultrasmooth. I purchased it to use with my copics but I've been using it every chance I get because the nice heavy weight is fab to use with embossing folders. ( Click on the card to see it larger and you'll see the nice deep embossed areas.) It also takes the spray mists beautifully... they don't just sink in... they stay on the smooth surface and really sparkle. 

I decided to stamp my butterflies with Tsukineko Versafine ink. It's the best I've found for very detailed stamps. I also used it to distress the edges of the card. My silver sheer shimmer spritz is also from Tsukineko.

Well... gotta go help the twinseys wrap their gifts for daddy. I hope you and your family have a nice family day tomorrow on Father's Day!
